In view of recent wildfire's across our nation - several here in the San Bernardino National Forest - I felt motivated to find out what I should know before I was faced with an approaching wildfire and the need to evacuate my family and my horses.

I started by talking to many of my local friends who also have horses and asked them if they had a plan. Then I reviewed the evacuation plans designed by our local protection agencies.

This web site is a collection of that information set into a guide to help horse owner's who may face the same choices, to be better informed before a disaster happens.
